Session Type: Symposium
We envision this symposium as an opportunity for (1) stock taking about research trends, opportunities, and challenges from the vantage of your country or region, and (2) sharing ideas about possibilities for international or comparative research that could strength our collective knowledge and wisdom. That we are living through a complex post-pandemic time with world trauma, threats, and dislocations is hardly new to the education research community across contexts and continents. We know also that we are witnessing a rapid period of social, political, economic, environmental, and even technological change, that requires imaginative thinking and rethinking of our research priorities, paradigms, methodologies, and models of collaboration. Our aim is to engage you not just as experienced scholars but as association leaders in presenting your views to (1) and (2) followed by engage, moderated discussion about implications for future research and research capacity-building that can matter.
