Abstract

The smart classroom, as a smart learning environment paradigm, seeks to take advantage of technology to help facilitate a great learning experience for learners. But little research is found to clarify how technology influences the learning experience. In this regard, this study randomly surveyed 1775 students studying in smart classrooms in six Chinese provinces and cities and constructed a mediation model consisting of variables such as technology usage, learning activities, and learning experiences to investigate the impact mechanisms. Analysis of the data through higher-order factors and structural equations revealed that. 1) technology usage in the smart classroom can positively influence students' learning experiences. 2) but that this impact is realized indirectly by influencing learning behaviors.
