Abstract

This study aims to gain insight into public school educators' perspectives on the impact of trauma-informed practices on classroom management. Understanding these perspectives is crucial for enhancing student support and educational quality. Effective classroom management creates a conducive learning environment. Exploring the effects of trauma-informed practices helps identify strategies for safer and more supportive classrooms, improving the educational experience for all students. Trauma impacts academic performance, behavior, and well-being. Appropriate training and resources for educators are essential for effective implementation. Professional development enhances understanding of trauma’s cognitive, behavioral, and socioemotional effects and equips educators with skills to identify and respond to trauma symptoms. Tailoring professional development to educators' needs ensures they have the tools to support students academically.
