This qualitative case study explores the intersection of multimedia and culturally relevant pedagogies by examining how kindergarten-age, Korean children respond to and create the meaning of "good deeds" on videos featuring classic stories. Drawing on sociocultural perspectives and critical media literacy, the study focused on the conversations between the children and the teacher about moral lessons during online storybook reading sessions and , drawing activities. The findings suggest the role of critical conversations, along with drawing activities, as critical media literacy pedagogies to help young learners critically examine media content from diverse perspectives create their own voices.
