Effects of the Tennessee AdviseTN College Access Program on College Enrollment

Fri, April 25, 1:30 to 3:00pm MDT (1:30 to 3:00pm MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Ballroom Level, Four Seasons Ballroom 2-3

Abstract

We study the impacts of AdviseTN on students’ college-preparation and enrollment outcomes. With novel CRM data, we also consider how the intensity of student-advisor interactions moderate these outcomes. We find advising does matter, especially for Hispanic and low-income students, but that students must regularly engage with advisors to improve college-going.
