Fri, April 25, 9:50 to 11:20am MDT (9:50 to 11:20am MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Meeting Room Level, Room 705

Abstract

The researchers collected all the articles from popular U.S. practitioner magazines and journals in the first year of ChatGPT’s release that focused on AI and school leadership. We located 23 articles that offered suggestions and approaches for school leaders around AI in schools. Four themes were found. First, school leaders must stay attuned to equity and ethical concerns about AI. Second, leaders should focus on how AI can improve teaching and learning. Third, school leaders must collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement policies and practices around the use of AI. Fourth, school leaders should remain open-minded, flexible, and adaptive since AI technologies are changing rapidly.
