Abstract

Education exchange programs have long been lauded for fostering international comprehension and cultural exchange. However, in a globalized world fraught with complex challenges, a deeper understanding of global responsibility is essential for these programs to reach their full potential. This study utilizes David Borenstein’s unique journey, from Fulbright scholar to filmmaker, as a lens to examine the limitations and potential of contemporary educational exchange programs. Based on Borenstein’s experience, the study proposes a new framework for educational exchange built upon three core pillars: Participating, Reflecting, and Connecting (PRC).
