Participatory approaches to research conducted within a lens of critical disability studies have the potential to allow for more robust understandings of students' experiences within the education system, potentially creating more effective support and equitable outcomes. Because participatory research approaches do not guarantee accessible collaboration throughout the research design, the authors draw on various accessible tools for collaboration, data collection, and dissemination that they incorporated or considered in the design of each of their participatory research projects. Engaging in accessible and participatory research practices is critical as it can enhance the research experience for participants, expand possibilities, and create more impactful change within the education system through capturing the perspectives of those most impacted.
