Abstract

This research utilized Latent Profile Analysis (LPA) to identify different resilience profiles among school leaders and explore how these profiles are linked to burnout. The study identified four distinct resilience profiles among 1,274 leaders from China, each associated with varying levels of burnout. The results indicated that leader resilience has a significant impact on burnout, with very high levels of resilience potentially increasing the risk of burnout. The study emphasizes the importance of finding a balance and allowing for recovery in order to maintain resilience and prevent burnout. These findings have important implications for educational policy and practice, underscoring the need to foster and support resilience among leaders and implement targeted interventions.
