Fri, April 25, 1:30 to 3:00pm MDT (1:30 to 3:00pm MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Ballroom Level, Four Seasons Ballroom 1

Abstract

This systematic review examines the growth, geographic spread, and topical evolution of 2,584 CRT-related documents in education from 1994 to 2023. It used statistical bibliometric analysis and correlated topic modeling. The study found a steady increase in CRT knowledge base over time, with research extending to nearly all U.S. states as its country birth and to 44 countries globally. Research topics in the CRT corpus have been diversified over time; they range from Foundational CRT Concepts and Methodology, to Educational Systems and Settings, to Subject-Specific Education, to Teachers and Teaching, to Cultural and Social Dimensions. The study highlights CRT's resilience amid political opposition and calls for continuous exploration and collaboration to foster equity and monitor CRT's evolution in education.
