This paper uses a narrative methodology to explore friendships, informal co-mentorship, and career support among professional women in archaeology. Initiated during the pandemic in a Caribbean college town, the study draws on in-depth interviews with two female archaeologists at different career stages. Findings reveal that these friendships are crucial support systems, offering emotional sustenance, practical advice, and career advancement opportunities. The study highlights women's challenges in a traditionally male-dominated field and shows how peer mentoring helps navigate professional relationships and career development. It provides insights into fostering informal support mechanisms to enhance women's professional well-being.
