Abstract

This work examines the characteristics, enrollment patterns, and descriptive outcomes of students whose parents borrow a Parent PLUS Loan and documents how borrowing varies across student and institutional contexts, what student groups and institutional types are most reliant on PLUS Loans, and how descriptive outcomes vary between borrowers and non-borrowers. Implications for policy and research are discussed.
