Abstract

Avenues of Agency Allyship is a conceptual framework that serves two purposes. First, a new holistic definition of agency called cultural identity agency which focuses on the processes of becoming and maintaining cultural identity will be explored through pathways of learning theory. Secondly, this model addresses and provides counterpoints disrupting traditional schooling practices in readiness, standardized learning, reproduction of social theory and obstructing Zero Point Epistemologies. This framing aims to renew visions of justice oriented education and schooling experiences for children by offering insights into how agency as a phenomena can be studied and conceptualized when inviting children into their learning spaces while retaining their capital wealth of cultural identity, intellectual freedoms, and abilities.
