Sun, April 27, 1:30 to 3:00pm MDT (1:30 to 3:00pm MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Meeting Room Level, Room 403

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of interim formative feedback in evaluating a Teacher Residency Program (TRP) at an R1 university. Using a comprehensive case study approach, it examines how feedback influences program improvements and delivery. Findings reveal a spectrum of responses to evaluation recommendations, ranging from full implementation to non-adoption. The research demonstrates that successful changes occur when recommendations align with program goals and available resources. It underscores the complexity of translating evaluation insights into practice and highlights the need for flexible, context-sensitive evaluation approaches. By bridging evaluation theory and practice, this study contributes significant insights to educational evaluation methodologies and teacher preparation program development.
