Abstract

This study explores the lived experiences of student teachers from the Marino Institute of Education (MIE) during their teaching placements in European schools. Drawing on preliminary data from interviews with three students, this research investigates the challenges and benefits of international placements, emphasizing identity formation, international collaboration, logistical complexities, pedagogical reinforcement, lesson planning, and language emphasis. The research aligns with the theme "Research, Remedy, and Repair: Toward Just Education Renewal," emphasizing the importance of addressing educational inequality and contributing to a just educational renewal. By exploring the lived experiences of student teachers in European schools, the study highlights the challenges and benefits of international placements, informing efforts to remedy and repair educational practices through multicultural education and international collaboration.
