Institutional Agents Supporting Undocumented Students in Navigating Career Preparation During College

Abstract

Using LatCrit and analysis of testimonios, I explore how undocu/DACAmented Latina/o students sought and engaged in career planning and preparation during college. I illuminate how students navigated barriers when institutional agents supported students in strategically traversing barriers and opened opportunities for gaining experience in students’ desired career fields during college. Implications for practice and policy will be provided.
