Meta-Ethnography Study on the Definition and Contributors of Successful Schools

Abstract

Through meta-ethnography analysis the study explore 85 publications on successful school leadership to explore a holistic identification of school success and its contributors across various contexts. The findings indicate that except student academic achievement, student social-emotional learning and school reputation are also success indicators. The major contributors to school success are school relationships with all stakeholders, following are school structure and school culture. However, the definition and contributors of school success vary under contexts such as School types, school location, student demography, school SES,etc.
