Abstract

This pilot study aimed to explore the factor structure of a newly developed instrument designed to assess the significance of students’ dispositions in achieving statistical literacy in online graduate education programs. The researchers employed quantitative methods to develop a survey specifically for graduate education students and faculty involved in online statistics courses. Through exploratory factor analysis (EFA), the study identified 41 items categorized into four factors, each reflecting the various dispositions of graduate students in online statistical learning. By documenting the development process of this instrument, the research provides valuable insights for future researchers investigating the dispositions and statistical literacy of graduate students in online learning environments.
