Abstract

This paper explores the affordances of Quantitative Ethnography (QE) to enhance qualitative research. QE unifies, rather than mixes, qualitative data with computational models, producing statistically valid interpretations that bridge disciplinary boundaries. This methodological approach enables socially just analyses, capturing the complexity and depth of people’s educational experiences. QE can aid in illuminating systemic inequities and developing critical, culturally relevant interventions to foster an equitable educational landscape. By leveraging QE, researchers can generate actionable insights that inform educational practices and policy changes designed to create a more just and equitable educational system.
