Abstract

This study evaluates the 'Women in Measurement' affinity group’s impact on gender and racial equity in educational measurement through a systematic literature review. Grounded in organizational culture and diversity theories, the research highlights the group's role in enhancing belonging, support, and career advancement. Preliminary findings suggest that 'Women in Measurement' effectively provides mentorship, networking, and professional development, leading to increased job satisfaction and career opportunities. Despite challenges like limited resources, the study underscores the significance of affinity groups in promoting equity and fostering inclusive professional environments, offering evidence-based recommendations for improving their effectiveness and support.
