Abstract

As vocational education directly prepares the future labor force, the non-cognitive skills of vocational college students have received increasing attention. Utilizing data from the China College Student Survey conducted in 2022, this study explores the impact of high-impact educational practices on the non-cognitive skills of vocational college students. The findings indicate that participation in high-impact practices significantly enhances the non-cognitive skills of these students, a result that remains robust after addressing endogenous. The results of this study underscore the importance of engaging in high-impact educational practices for college students and call for vocational colleges to create more opportunities to encourage widespread student participation in such practices.
