Abstract

This mixed methods study aimed to investigate how integrating PocketLab interactive mobile sensors impacts student learning and experiences. The study compared students' performance and explored students' preferences, perspectives, and experiences toward using PocketLab interactive mobile sensors. The quantitative analysis revealed a statistically significant difference in students' preferences toward PocketLab interactive mobile sensors and in their perceived flexibility when both groups were compared. The qualitative data offered insights into the students' perspectives and experiences. Participants discussed positive experiences with PocketLab sensor implementation and favorable perspectives toward the PocketLab approach, emphasizing its flexibility, versatility, and efficiency. The study has implications for higher education faculty and K-12 educators considering using PocketLab mobile technology or any similar platform in their classrooms.
