Abstract

This study investigates the capacity of educational organizations involved in principal preparation programs (PPPs) to enhance idea diffusion and collaboration through the Equity-Centered Pipeline Initiative (ECPI) network. Funded by the Wallace Foundation, the ECPI aims to develop principal pipelines that produce equity-centered school leaders. Analyzing data from 2022 to 2023 using social network analysis, we explored the structure and evolution of communication and collaboration networks among eight diverse school districts and their partners. Key findings include increased reciprocity and reduced fragmentation in the networks, indicating enhanced collaboration and cohesion. The study contributes to understanding how inter-organizational partnerships and structured collaboration networks can be an avenue for fostering innovation and systemic reform in educational leadership development.
