Thu, April 24, 5:25 to 6:55pm MDT (5:25 to 6:55pm MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Exhibit Hall Level, Exhibit Hall F - Poster Session

Abstract

Electronic health technologies provide individuals with the opportunity to access health information online, enabling people to be more informed and empowered in managing their health. Older adults are regarded as the population most likely to benefit from using eHealth information. Effective interventions are pivotal in enhancing eHealth literacy. This review aims to summarise the trends and effects of eHealth literacy interventions for older adults from 2008 to 2023. Based on the inclusion criteria, 41 experimental studies were analysed. The results show that all the included studies originated from developed countries. Most of the studies conducted studies on participants’ eHealth literacy level and psychological status using pre- and post-experimental designs; some studies added gamified, intergenerational and collaborative learning elements.
