A lack of alignment across formative, interim, and summative assessments with respect to Next Generation Science Standards-based curriculum and instructional materials has led educational stakeholders to recognize the value in building a coherent assessment system that weaves in reporting mechanisms that provide clear information about expectations for science learning throughout the school year. This paper presents feedback from various educational stakeholders based on the use of six scoring and reporting resources created for grades 5 and 8. We will show how their feedback was addressed to improve the quality and leverage the use of these resources to create a coherent student profile at the end of the year.
