Developing teacher leaders who take reflective and student-centered approaches to teaching and share that with others has been a goal of the workshops implemented within our project. This paper focuses on those teacher leaders who have shown interest in facilitating similar workshops with their local professional learning community. Highlighted are the ways mathematics problem solving can support teachers in their effort to be more student-centered and practice-oriented in their teaching, as well as how the further development of teachers' leadership characteristics can promote leaders both in and out of the classroom. Our data shows that supporting teachers to think deeply about mathematics has been something they have appreciated and helped them on their journey to be leaders in the field.
