A Rasch Analysis of the Family Partnership Survey

Sat, April 26, 1:30 to 3:00pm MDT (1:30 to 3:00pm MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Ballroom Level, Four Seasons Ballroom 2-3

Abstract

Measuring family engagement in school systems is a crucial part of understanding how to support students and families. This study used Rasch modeling on a survey used by a local education agency to help improve the information received by the local education agency. Rasch modeling supported a unidimensional structure instead of the proposed six factors and identified questions which do not neatly fit in the unidimensional model and may be key in measuring other dimensions of family engagement.
