Abstract

This paper outlines a new ecologically-centered framework for re-imagining the academy. In drawing from the wisdom of nature and trees, combined with traditional and modern organizational theories, the framework examines how individuals and institutions function across higher education, reveals their underlying assumptions, and elucidates their present challenges.
