Abstract

This article explores the impact of the CAMPUS-Asia6 (CA6) program on enhancing global citizenship capacities among university students in Asia. Global Citizenship Education (GCE) aims to empower learners to address global challenges and contribute to a just, peaceful, and sustainable world. Based on the theoretical framework of Global Citizenship Education (GCE), the study employs field research methods, including participant observation and in-depth interviews, to assess the program's effectiveness in developing students' cognitive, socio-emotional, and behavioral dimensions. The results indicate that the CAMPUS-Asia6 significantly improved students' global citizenship capacity, particularly in the cognitive and socio-emotional dimensions. However, improvements in the behavioral dimension were less pronounced. The study highlights the importance of GCE and proposes some new directions for GCE research and practice.
