Abstract

This study introduces the Skills Self-Efficacy Scale for Adolescents (SSES-A), developed to assess critical skills essential for future success: problem-solving, communication, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. Guided by Social Cognitive Theory and psychometric principles, the SSES-A was validated through a rigorous mixed-methods approach, including exploratory factor analysis. Results demonstrated high internal consistency (α = 0.932) and strong construct validity. The SSES-A addresses a significant gap in current measurement tools by providing a comprehensive evaluation of adolescents' self-efficacy in these key skills. This instrument offers valuable insights to enhance educational practices, ultimately preparing students for the complexities of modern education and workforce demands.
