Educational leadership preparation programs (ELPP) are critical in shaping effective school leaders who can improve educational outcomes. Research in leadership preparation is important, and a comprehensive review and analysis of research literature on ELPPs can provide valuable insights into their effectiveness, challenges, and areas for improvement. Guided by the theory of learning organization and learning transfer, and the Evaluation Pathway framework, we will adopt the Structural Topic Modeling (STM), an advanced machine learning technique, to search and explore underlying latent topics and topic evolution in the entire history of ELPP research literature. In doing so, we aim to uncover gaps in the current ELPP research and suggest areas for future research.
