Despite the prevalence of the Online Self-Regulated Learning Questionnaire (OSLQ) in online learning research, its factor structure remains unclear, and item characteristics are underexplored. This study aims to test the OSLQ's dimensionality and investigate its psychometric properties using Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Item Factor Analysis with 571 Korean undergraduate students enrolled in an online mathematics course. Our findings supported a seven-factor model over the original six-factor model. OSLQ features high item discriminations and wide ranges of item difficulties, alongside high marginal reliability for students within the latent ability range of -2.5 to 1.5. Our findings highlight the robustness and cultural relevance of the OSLQ in evaluating SRL among Korean college students, demonstrating its effectiveness across varying levels of SRL abilities.
