Abstract

The second largest school district in a mountain West state strives to promote belonging and equity for diverse learners. This presentation discussing the Division of Student Success evaluation context and results, to better understand successes and challenges, and to establish both an understanding of the current landscape across the district as well as a path forward. This system-wide, action-oriented evaluation highlights how a large district chose to dig deeply into their current system to fuel improvement and track progress toward remedy and repair. It can serve as a model for other districts and will contribute to reducing institutional siloes, which are oftentimes inefficient and ineffective.
