Being and Belonging: Reciprocal Mentoring Between Novice and Experienced Educators

Abstract

Thirteen undergraduate pre-service teachers (PSTs) and in-service teachers enrolled in an online Ed.D. program were paired together to participate in an online mentorship experience aligned with principles of belonging, identity, and development mentorship outlined by Canton & James (2008). This innovative mentorship program aimed to tap into the collective knowledge of a specialized inservice teacher-leader corp to better shepard and acclimate PSTs into the profession.
