Despite extensive research on parental involvement in education, the aspirations and experiences of mothers of color remain underrepresented. This study examined the narratives of nine mothers in Jackson Heights, Queens, highlighting their collective desire for culturally and linguistically affirming educational experiences. Employing frameworks of aspirational capital and motherwork, the findings reveal how these mothers navigate systemic barriers while fostering resilience in their children. The results underscore the urgent need for educators and school leaders to forge authentic partnerships with mothers of color, promoting inclusive educational practices. By centering these mothers' voices, the study advocates for an equitable and transformative approach to educational leadership, crucial for creating environments where all children can flourish.
