Abstract

Our study examines how educational leaders in PK-12 educator preparation programs (EPP) are transforming educator preparation to equip pre-service educators for just and effective online and hybrid teaching. This research aligns with ongoing investigations into transformative innovations in teaching practices, teacher education, and teacher educator preparation. By utilizing the Synthesis Qualitative Data (SQD) model, we analyze how program directors can enhance pre-service educator preparation through new pedagogies, advancements in teaching methods, and collaborative approaches. Our findings indicate a need for additional resources and support to overcome barriers, such as resistance to change and lack of training, which are crucial for the successful integration of technology in education. Further research may include equitable in-service online and hybrid teaching practices, as well.
