Fri, April 25, 3:20 to 4:50pm MDT (3:20 to 4:50pm MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Terrace Level, Bluebird Ballroom Room 2F

Abstract

This paper explores the instances and challenges of implementing culturally relevant pedagogy (CRP) in two unique communities: Tibetan refugees in India and indigenous Bedouins in Israel/Palestine. While very different in context, this paper presents and discusses, a) the shared and different practices and challenges of implementing CRP in each of these locals, and b) the way CRP CST and CSP can be further developed when serving communities in the global south.
