This work addresses the convergence of theoretical perspectives focused on social and cultural practices in minoritized and immigrant families and communities that can be leveraged for intergenerational learning. The authors explore concepts stemming from the borderlands region such as funds of knowledge (Gonzalez, 2016; Moll, et al., 2015) and transnational literacies (Lam & Warriner, 2012; Skerrett, 2015). The authors also discuss intersections that frame digital literacies as tools for intergenerational learning, multilingual and transnational knowledge, and civic engagement and participation. These intersections create learning spaces for multilingual learners, community organizing, and online and hybrid learning for Latinx adults and caregivers. Implications address contexts where communities and educational institutions grapple with facing anti-immigrant and monolingual ideologies and discourses.
