According to Paris (2021), CSPs engage an inward gaze to pedagogically confront the damaging internalization of the white, Western gaze (Paris, 2021, p. 366). These presenters share ways that children's literature can be used to counter the damage of the white gaze and foster cultural sustenance for young children. Presenters explore ways to help children cope with grief, human displacement, and other complex issues that are culturally situated.
