Abstract

This study examines students’ perceptions of their faculty and administration support during Trump’s presidency (2017-2021). The study considers how different characteristics such as race, gender, wearing hijab, and attending school in a political democrat or republican state impact students' perceptions of the support they receive at their college campus. Lastly, it considers how being stereotyped can impact their perception of support received on campus. Utilizing the Minoritized Religious and Spiritual Campus Climate (MRSCC) framework (Ahmadi et al., 2019; Cole et al., 2020), this study encourages institutions to consider multiple approaches to supporting Muslim students, especially amid hostile sociopolitical contexts.
