Utilizing a qualitative approach combining focus groups and grounded theory, the investigation explores how cultural factors both support and hinder Latina faculty's access to university leadership roles. Findings reveal that culture plays a central role in shaping leadership opportunities, with both formal and informal supports and barriers influencing Latina faculty's ability to actualize their leadership potential. This study highlights the importance of creating equitable institutional cultures and addressing systemic barriers to enhance diversity in academic leadership. Implications for higher education policy and practice are discussed, emphasizing the need for targeted efforts to amplify Latina voices and expand their access to leadership positions.
