A Meta-Synthesis on School Leadership in Brazil From 2018 to 2023

Abstract

This paper refers to an investigation aimed at identifying Brazilian scientific productions on school leadership from 2018 to 2023 to understand this research area development in the country. The guiding question was: how is school leadership seem in Brazil, based on scientific productions found in national digital databases? The corpus of analysis comprised 18 works, which were analyzed through bibliographical research procedures and content analyses aided by MAXQDA 22 software. The results indicated a trend of seeing school leadership associated with democratic features, such as collective participation and decision-making distribution.
