Abstract

In English language teaching, research collaborations and teacher-led research have been explored as avenues toward greater teacher agency and in turn, toward greater equity in linguistically diverse classrooms. The session focuses on examples of real-life research collaborations that extend across institutions and cultures to reflect on the successes and challenges of collaborations that aim to humanize and decolonize research in English language teaching. extends the call for humanizing research, particularly in English language teaching, discussed in the volume by Paris and Winn (2014) in relation to research with marginalized communities and youth.
