Knowing how to learn is a detrimental competency when it comes to educational success. The literature on learning strategies and approaches is relatively rich, often taking a psychological perspective. This paper will change perspectives by using a more sociological approach that will focus on university students’ learning practices. We will in detail map the learning practices of students by looking into five different areas of practices: (1) technological practices, (2) interactional practices, (3) physical practices, (4) silent/individual-centered practices, (5) platform practices. By conducting focus group interviews, we furthermore discovered that discussing the topic in itself helps the students to engage more with each other and inspire each other.
