Abstract

This study uses data scraped from #BlackLivesMatter on Twitter during the April 2015 Freddie Gray protests to ascertain levels of critical consciousness. Content analysis and Social Learning Analytic Methods (SLAM) such as lexicon analysis were employed in data analysis. Findings identified all stages of critical consciousness.
