Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has impacted lifelong learning as it offers numerous advantages while presenting significant challenges. This paper explores AI's transformative role in lifelong learning by emphasizing its ability to provide personalized learning experiences, enhance practical skills, foster creativity, and improve critical thinking. Despite these benefits, challenges such as bias, accessibility issues, and overreliance on AI pose significant barriers. The paper highlights strategies to mitigate these challenges, including developing AI literacy, implementing inclusive policies, and ensuring ethical AI usage. Through a comprehensive scoping review, this study provides insights and recommendations to optimize AI's potential in lifelong learning to enable equitable and effective integration into educational contexts.
