Thu, April 24, 5:25 to 6:55pm MDT (5:25 to 6:55pm MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Meeting Room Level, Room 402

Abstract

The International Successful School Principalship Project (ISSPP) has been actively conducting research on successful principalship since 2001. This paper presents a qualitative meta-analysis of 118 empirical studies from 16 countries, aiming to identify successful school leadership practices that can make schools successful and help students from diverse backgrounds to succeed academically. Employing meta-ethnography, the findings from ISSPP publications on successful leadership practices in various global contexts were carefully analyzed. The findings add to our understanding of successful principalship and inform leadership development in a global educational context.
