This paper explores how a qualitative study aimed to develop software that authentically reflected the experiences of participating educators. It outlines the development strategies intentionally executed to translate findings into app features, focusing on the process rather than the findings themselves. Specifically, qualitative findings served as the requirements analysis to initiate a waterfall process for software development (Stober & Hansmann, 2010). In the systems design phase, development leveraged reflexive thematic analysis to situate features within the broader findings (Braun & Clarke, 2021), used participant quotes to outline feature rationale and created prototypes that ensured fit over design appeal (Singer, 2019). These strategies could improve the replicability of intentional software development and ensure that educators are better represented in classroom technology.
