Abstract

Non-tenured faculty, especially gender-diverse individuals, women, Indigenous and faculty of colour face significant challenges. The Maximizing Impact (MI) Mentorship program supports Early Career Academics (ECAs), with a focus on historically, persistently, or systemically marginalized (HPSM) groups. Using a mixed-methods design, the study examines participants' challenges, the impact of mentorship, and the added value of coaching in fostering an inclusive academic environment. The findings aim to inform faculty development practices and promote equity, retention, and repair in academia.
