Wed, April 23, 2:30 to 4:00pm MDT (2:30 to 4:00pm MDT), The Colorado Convention Center, Floor: Ballroom Level, Four Seasons Ballroom 4

Abstract

School-community partnerships across educators, families, and communities have been a means of promoting student success, contributing to better student achievement, attendance, and attitudes toward school. However, engaging families and communities—who are typically not included in district and school decisionmaking—can be challenging. Using a mixed methods design, we examine indepth district-community collaborations in developing and implementing a Cybersecurity Pathway program to understand how a partnership-developed program engaged students currently underserved in STEM and afforded access and learning in a future-oriented career pathway.
